Look Good, Feel GoodLook Good Feel Good! By Phoebe and Gaby On a Wednesdays after school Look Good Feel Good takes place at technology village. It’s on 3 - 4.30pm and we do healthy cooking. Before half term we did half a hour of exercise which is the feel good part and half a hour of beauty which is the look good part. New P.E teacher Mrs. Wilkins organised the club and here is what she had too say about the club: Q) Why did you start Look Good, Feel Good ? A) ‘I started the club because it’s something I’ve done previously in my old school and the students really enjoyed it so I thought I’d put it into action here’. Now we do healthy cooking with Tracey and Rachel from Shotton Halls kitchen staff. We asked them: Q) Do you enjoy taking part in Look Good, Feel Good? A) ‘Yes we love it because we want to provide the group with cooking knowledge and to be aware of the healthy options available’. Q) What recipes have you done so far? A) ‘So far we have done dark chocolate brownies, banana flapjack, smoothies, fajitas and chocolate crispie cakes’. There is also Stephanie who runs the club, She said: Q) What is your role in the club? A) ‘My role is to co-ordinate the project, this includes: sourcing the funding for the club, organising the activities and making sure that it all comes together’. Q) Do you have fun with us at Look Good, Feel Good? A) ‘Yes I really enjoy it and I have fun watching students have fun in activities that the group want to participate in’. Students who take part in the club really enjoy the activities. Beth from Year 8 said, The club is a great way to promote a healthy lifestyle as well as having fun with your friends at the same time. I would highly recommend it! |
