Next Thursday- Caribbean Day. students to disseminate information.What are we going to do?
Steel drums will be in hall with disco.Drew expressed concerns are racist element.We hope to make the day fun in order to raise money. Need to keep the serious element in the back of our minds; try not to be petronising.
Would it not be a good idea for S.C. to go into assemblies/tannoy next week to tell students what is happening in Haiti? Year 11 to pair up with younger students(boy and girl).Do research in A5 tomorrow. Monday -Stuart and Connor; Tuesday - Ellie and Drew. Wednesday - Curtis and Anna, Thursday= Hayley and Sunny. Two people to approach Mr Mowbray to tell him what we intend to do.
Need posters/ information on web-site.
Speak to Learning Managers and get them on board.
Mrs Smith to speak to catering staff re Caribbean food next Thursday.
We intend taking students on tour of new school site when the weather is better.
Need younger students to help Chris with web-site.Connor and Curtis.
Only school to get Grade 1 Outstanding for OFSTED. Serious issues with new school regarding safeguarding. Having to re-think fencing, gates etc.Extremely important that we make sure that our students are safe at all times.
Graham Morris is looking at ways to get S.C. down to London.
Drew - recently he has noticed decline in use of after-school activities. Miss Pallister said that there are activities on every night.
Next meeting will talk about healthy days - eating, walks, sporting activities; also multi-cultural activities. Miss Pallister would consider doing youth club again if the numbers are viable- problems with room in new school? |
